Ford Puma Racing

The Ford Racing Puma was given the name after the concept car at the 1999 ford racing puma in la selva. It was designed by Ford Rally specialist engineers at Boreham and was initially pencilled in for a limited production run of 1000 cars. Tickford, a company based in Daventry, UK, was in charge of the conversion process. Throughout the development process, the car was modified to improve performance, comfort, and handling.

TheFord Racing Puma featured a 1.7-litre engine, with 155 hp. It clocked in at 7,000 rpm and reached 60 mph in 7.9 seconds. It had a top speed of 126 mph. In addition to its performance on the track, the ford puma racing also boasted a fully restored interior and was MOT’d until December 2021. As well as a service history log book, the car comes with invoices and the original Tickfords owner’s guide supplement. It is also fitted with spare wheel mounts.

The bodywork on the 1999 ford racing puma in la selva was excellent. The ford puma racing had Tickford bodywork grafted onto standard Puma panels. It was wider than standard and also more rigid, making it more effective in track widths. The suspension was also significantly improved, resulting in a vehicle that towed over 1g of weight. The Ford Racing Puma was not for everyone’s taste. The unmodified version of the car costs around PS7500-PS9000.

Ford Racing Puma 16V

The Ford Racing Puma was a sports car that came in four variants over the years. All of them were powered by ford racing puma 16v Sigma engines. Its chassis was modified and its suspension was lowered to improve handling and grip. Among its numerous features are Ford Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) and low-speed traction control, as well as ABS. It was also the most affordable of its variants, priced at PS22,750.

A Ford specialist division in Essex designed and developed the suspension for the Puma. Its monocoque shell was originally intended for ford puma racing‘s WRC entrant. The engineers spent months fine-tuning its chassis dynamics to give it the best possible performance. The wider 1999 ford racing puma in la selva and uprated springs combined with special geometry improved the car’s cornering poise. However, the firm ride meant that the Puma was biased towards tracks.

After the introduction of the ford puma racing, Ford offered it to senior managers for a list price of PS23,000. The company made an offer to Mr & Mrs. Jones that included an optional brochure. This brochure sold for PS23,000 in the UK. The company’s MRC scheme meant that the cars would continue to be registered, but would no longer be used for racing. In the UK, only a third of the planned production run of 500 1999 Ford Racing Puma in La Selva found their way into genuine customer’s hands.
